The project will include pagodas, temples, a five-star hotel, golf-course, marina, and an area of Vietnamese ethnic minority villages among other facilities.
According to Xuan Truong company based in Ninh Binh province, the Nui Coc Lake tourism site will be connected with other tourism sites including the ATK Dinh Hoa historical site in Thai Nguyen, the Tan Trao historical site in Tuyen Quang province and the Ba Be Lake tourism site in Bac Kan province to create a chain of ecological, spiritual and historical tourism sites.
Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang said that the building of the Nui Coc Lake tourism site in connection with other tourism sites in the north will create a highlight for promoting Vietnamese tourism.
The first phase of the project will be carried out from 2016 to 2019 in which the investor will build transport works such as a 15km approach road to Nui Coc Lake, a 35km road around the lake, and a road linking Nui Coc Lake to the ATK Dinh Hoa historical site; a temple dedicated to Tam Toa Thanh Mau; and a marina and bus stop among others.
The project is expected to welcome the first visitors in late 2019.
