Hanoi, Vietnam: A field of 140 members and guests from around the country graced the 2016 IMG Trophy Tournament at Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club.
It was the second occasion that the event has been staged at the 36-hole venue, some 45 kilometres from Hanoi.
The event is the initiative of IMG Golf Course Services, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Clubs associated with the global management group are entitled to host an annual themed event for club members and guests.
In perfect weather conditions, Sky Lake participants, including four juniors aged below 13, enjoyed a day of outstanding golf and entertainment with Titleist among the companies which set up on-course activities.
Gary Dixon, General Manager of Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, said: We are so pleased that all participants enjoyed this unique event and that we were able to present our Lake Course so well. I don’t believe we have ever seen our courses look this good.
Jon Tomlinson, IMG Senior Director of Operations, added: IMG is very proud of our management association with Sky Lake that now extends to over two years. The team at Sky Lake delivered an outstanding event for their members and invited guests.
Nguyen Quoc Binh was crowned champion with a gross score of 77 over the Lake Course. Other divisional winners were Nguyen Dang Khanh (Division A), Pham Thanh Son (Division B) and Nguyen Thi Van Anh (Ladies Division).
