Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a project to build The Lotus Cam Ranh Golf Course proposed by KN Cam Ranh Company Ltd in Khanh Hoa Province, roughly 450km northeast of HCM City.
The VND600-billion project aims to develop a 27-hole golf course spanning a total of 90 hectares over a period of four years.
The project’s phase 1 starting this year will complete a 9-hole golf course and other facilities such as a golf club house and management office.
Phase 2 starting from 2018 will complete the next nine holes, part of landscaping and equipment procurement.
Phase 3, from 2019 to mid 2020, will complete the last 9-hole golf section and remaining construction items.
The project has a life span of 50 years from the date of approval. During the project investment and management, investors are not allowed to enter joint ventures, or transfer equity to foreign partners including Vietnamese residing abroad without prior approval from the Ministry of Defense.
The Prime Minister assigned Khanh Hoa People’s Committee to carry out additional procedures to add the project to the province’s master plan as well as other zoning plans for social-economic development; and supervise the project implementation in compliance with the laws of investment, construction, trade, environment, and other relevant regulations.
