Mr Chappe Bertrand–the 5 millionth foreign visitor to Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVworld) – A French citizen has become the 5 millionth foreign visitor to Ho Chi Minh City this year. Chappe Bertrand received the title after completing his Vietnam Airlines flight on Saturday.
Ho Chi Minh city has seen an annual growth of 8.2% in the number of foreign visits. Its tourism industry generated 9% of the city’s revenue. Deputy Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Thu: “We are pleased to achieve our set targets. We pledge more favorable condition to boost the tourism sector, especially in our master-plan to promote waterways and rivers connected tours. We will restructure other related industries to boost tourism growth.”
