HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Luu Duc Quang,chairman of BISCOM Golf Club Management JSC, has been voted as one of the Top 30 most influential people in the 2016 worldwide golf industry.
Quang has become the first Vietnamese to be included on Golf Inc. Magazine’s list.
Dana Garmany, CEO of Troon Golf in the US, tops the annual list. Last year, Garmany took second place after Eric Affeldt, chairman and CEO of ClubCorp. He was followed by Jack Nicklaus.
According to Golf Inc., Quang’s position might again rise if he is able to open FLC’s 20 golf courses within five years.
BISCOM has been one of the leading firms in developing resort, golf and real estate complexes. FLC Sam Son, its first such complex, located in Thanh Hoa Province, was opened earlier this year, followed by FLC Quy Nhon –the golf course with the fastest period of construction in golf history. Its third golf course, FLC Ha Long, is now under construction.
The list was released based upon the impact each nominee had on the golf industry, including golf course management, advertising, education and training, sustainable environment, and development. — VNS
