One of the newest golf clubs in Vietnam, this 27 hole golf course is located half way between Hanoi and Halonbay. In 2004 it hosted The Carlsberg Masters Vietnam, one of the first professional golf events in the region.
Designed by an Australian company, they have created the 27 holes in a picturesque valley surrounded by forested hills and creeks, lakes and natural water hazards. Tees and fairways are a variant of Bermuda while the greens here are Tiff Eagle insuring a great putting surface.
As the pictures show the course is dominated by a large lake, so Chi Linh Star Golf has quite a few water hazards, including some interesting island greens.
Their 4th a par 4 380 yard hole has a long carry up to an elevated green and is fun but quite a challenge. Birdie here and your game is definitely on song. Also watch out for their 18th a massive uphill par 5 at a monster 680 yards. Big hitters will be in their eliment.
Like the rough at Amata Springs in Thailand they like to grow the rough long here, which will keep you focused on staying on the fairways. However overall it is a excellent addition to the list of first class course in Northern Vietnam.
